New Features

Asset Builder Retains Values

Added to: 3.7.0 development

When creating new assets using the Asset Builder, if something goes wrong and you get an error during processing, the Asset Builder now keeps your original form values and displays them again. Previously, the form was cleared and you had to re-enter the values again.

Non-table Based Site Map Output

Added to: 3.7.0 development

The Site Map page now has an option where you can define the structure of the output. By default, table based output is shown. This can be changed to use a list based style, which uses UL and LI tags to create the site map rather than the default TABLE and TD tags. A list based site map allows you more flexibility by allowing you to use CSS to style the site map and make it look however you want.

Notes:

Bug #553 (Metadata stored with escaped values) was submitted by Karen on the 29th of March but was marked as Can Not Replicate. The developer who looked into the problem suspects it has already been fixed by other changes.

Bug #747 (Complete Crash in Firefox) was submitted by Richard on the 30th of June but was marked as not being a bug after it was found that this was a problem with Java 1.5. Downgrading to 1.4 stops the crash from occurring. Being a JVM problem, we cannot fix this bug.

Bug #767 (Asset Map graphics slow when dragging items) was submitted by Richard on the 8th of July but was marked as not being a bug after it was found that this was a problem with Java 1.5. Downgrading to 1.4 fixes the speed issues. Being a JVM problem, we cannot fix this bug.

Bug #796 (Empty metadata fields causing speed issues before committed) was submitted by MargieW on the 18th of July but was marked as Can Not Replicate after it could not be replicated by two developers.

Bug #797 (Sorting assets by sort order in listings) was submitted by KateN on the 18th July but was marked as Can Not Replicate after it could not be replicated in 3.4.x by any developer.

Bug #819 (Disappearing asset map expander on custom form bodycopy) was submitted by KateN on the 28th of July but was marked as Will Not Fix in 3.4.5 due to a rewrite of the asset map being required. The rewrite for 3.6.x has fixed this bug.

Bug #855 (Triggers - multiple Tree Location conditions) was submitted by Geoffroy Noel but was marked as not being a bug because this behavior is by design.

Feature request #868 (Feature Request: text truncation) was submitted by gerry but was marked as a duplicate of feature request #806 (Add keyword for asset content summary).
