MySource Matrix Beta And Stable Released
The first release of a MySource Matrix beta in some time was released on Tuesday which featured 116 bug fixes and more than 60 noteworthy features. Well done to all developers. The next stable version (3.4.3) was also released. Clients should be advised to upgrade to this version if they are experiencing any problems with their current system.
All developers should ensure they have a 3.4.x stable, 3.5.x beta and a 3.7.0 dev system checked out for bug fixes.
New Developers
We have a few new developers starting next week. Please make them feel welcome.
New Features
Custom Development
Most Developers are working on custom client development, and therefore there where no new generic new features added to Matrix this week.
Remote Content Improvements
Parts of Remote Content have been rewritten to use HTTP_Client instead of HTTP_Request PEAR objects to do the remote communication. Previously we were relying on the functionality of HTTP_Request that is now deprecated (ability to handle redirects). HTTP_Client has better support for Cookies, but uses HTTP_Request for all the communication so behavior should not change.
Some memory and speed optimisations were performed by re-using variables and minor code re-arrangements.
