User Group Restrictions Access Changed
Previously, write access was required to change the group restrictions for a user. This has now been changed to require administrator as it is an administrative task that normal content editors should not be able to perform. This change has been made to both 3.6.x and 3.7.x and will be in the 3.6.1 release next month.
New Features
New Way To Check Uncached Content
Added to: 3.6.0 stable, 3.7.0 development
Previously, to check the uncached version of an asset you appended ?no_cache=1 to the URL. Now, you need to add /_nocache to the end of the URL. This works in the same way as the current /_admin and/_edit suffixes. Like these suffixes, the _nocache suffix is configurable and can be changed on the system configuration screen.
Forced Workflow Log Messages
Added to: 3.7.0 development
Approvers can enter a workflow message when approving or rejecting the workflow for an asset. Previously, this was optional and there was no way to enforce it. A new option has been added that allows the maintainer of a workflow schema to specify that some workflow step conditions require a workflow message to be entered. When defining the workflow schema, a new checkbox is available next to each workflow condition to enforce the entering of a workflow log message.
For example, step 1 of the workflow may include an administrator (for escalation) and a group of legal experts. One of the legal experts must approve the content, or the administrator. You are now able to specify that a legal expert must enter a workflow message for this step but that the administrator does not have to.
Change Status Of Schemas
Added to: 3.7.0 development
Workflow and metadata schemas now have a status section on their details screen so the status of the schemas can be changed. This allows the schemas to be made live and for people with read access to be able to view the schema definition. Previously, the schemas were always under construction so you had to grant a user write access to be able to see it.
New Datetime Attribute Keywords
Added to: 3.7.0 development
When printing a datetime attribute, you can now suffix the keyword with the format you would like the date shown in. Without the suffix, the keyword will be in the normal '---------- --:--:--' format.

User Account Locked Message
Added to: 3.7.0 development
After a user enters their password incorrectly a set number of times, their account is locked. This action is now logged in the system.log file for auditing purposes.

Bulk email functionality will finally be built into MySource Matrix. It is currently in a planning phase and the final details on functionality are not yet available, but it is due for "release" sometime in November this year.
