New Releases Monday
New stable releases of MySource Matrix will be released on Monday. Versions 3.6.8 and 3.8.2 will be bug fix releases and will not contain any additional functionality.
DB::quote() vs DB::quoteSmart()
Just a note about DB::quote() and DB::quoteSmart(). DB::quote() has been deprecated for some time and, as of the the most recent version of Pear DB, is an alias for quoteSmart(). If you pass an int to quote (or quoteSmart), it will not quote it. It's therefore important to cast anything to a string where its column type is of type varchar in the database; assetids and userids for example.
New Features
Account Manager Auto Resend/Purge
Added to: 3.9.0 development
The account manager now allows for activation emails to be resent to users after a defined period of time, and for unactivated accounts to be purged after another defined period of time. Both timeouts are configured independently. For example, a user that signs-up can be sent a validation email, and an email can be resent after 1 week if they have not yet activated their account. After 2 weeks, the account can be purged and the username reused by another user.

Notes:
Bug 1289 (Firefox entering random <br> tags that are undeletable) was submitted by miriam.clinton on the 21st of April 2006 but was marked as Can Not Replicate after it could not be reproduced by a developer.
Bug #1298 (Is this a bug?) was submitted by Jad but was marked as not being a bug as the poster just wanted some advice on how to configure the search manager.
Bug #1299 (Updates, changes, deletes not displayed in asset map) was submitted by Jad but was marked as Can Not Replicate after the problem could not be reproduced on any system.
Bug #1303 (Standard page is using the alternative web path in preference to the first in list) was submitted by KateN but was marked as not being a bug as this is expected behavior.
Bug #1306 (Incorrent date posted from datetime field in custom form) was submitted by lilla but was marked as Can Not Replicate after the problem could not be reproduced in the latest 3.8 code.
Bug #1312 (WYSIWYG indent button adds additional <LI> to unordered lists) was submitted by sdelfante but was marked as Can Not Replicate after it was found to be a problem with HTMLTidy that could not be replicated by the developers.
