Two New Stable Releases on Monday
The first stable release of the 3.10.x branch of MySource Matrix, version 3.10.0, will be released next Monday. The 3.10.0 release is the first major stable release in 5 months, and contains roughly 90 new features. It will also contain more than 30 fixed bugs compared to the release candidate.
The next stable release of the 3.8.x branch, version 3.8.5, will also be released on Monday. This is predominantly a bug-fix release containing more than 25 bug fixes, however it also contains a small number of new features, particularly relating to caching.
New Features
Improvements to IPB Bridge's User System
Added to: 3.11.0 development
Two new improvements to the IPB User asset, found in the IPB package. First, custom fields set up within the IPB system being bridged are now passed on as attributes to users, so they can be accessed using keywords, like the other attributes.
Also, IPB User Group assets now have access to all of the screens usually found in normal User Group assets. This allows you do, among other things, set custom preferences for them.
Asset Builder: Do Not Change Status
Added to: 3.11.0 development
The Asset Builder has an setting that determines which status all new assets created by it are set to. A new "do not change status" option has been added, meaning that Asset Builder will not attempt to change the status of the asset itself. You may want to do this if you are using a trigger to conditionally set the status of an asset upon creation (or using it to set it to a status Asset Builder does not support - eg. Pending Approval), as the trigger's change is usually wiped out by the Asset Builder's create status.

Notes:
Bug #1532 (Cannot remove related node on related asset listing) was submitted by Richard but was marked as Can Not Replicate after a developer was unable to reproduce the problem.
Bug #1533 (Trash, two users can't delete different asset at the same time) was submitted by wombat, however this was not a bug as the reported behavior is by design. The bug was marked as a duplicate of bug #1256 (No errors reported with Squiz Server) as it is believed the real problem lies with Squiz Server not reporting the failed job. The bug has been closed.
