covers versions 3.6.5 stable, 3.8.0 RC1, 3.9.0 development
Today we say goodbye to Dave Heppell who is leaving the MySource Matrix development team to go back to uni and finish his degree. Good luck at uni Dave and thanks for all your great work on the MySource Matrix CMS.
Some problems have been found with the asset map's support for some characters. The fix for these problems require the multi byte string extension to be compiled into PHP (--with-mbstring=all). If the extension is not compiled into PHP, the asset map may not display some characters correctly. Note that this is an optional requirement. MySource Matrix will work correctly without this extension compiled in.

The Account Manager page currently has a feature to validate the email addresses of new users by sending them a validation link. The user must click a link in an email to activate their account. If that email went missing, the validation process has to be performed manually. A new feature has been added to the Account Manager page that allows a user to re-request their validation email if they have lost it.
The Not Logged In bodycopy now has three new keywords that allow you to display a form where a user can enter their username and have the validation email resent to them (), print validation resend errors () and a success message ().
Added to: 3.8.0 RC1, 3.9.0 development
The site map now has the ability to limit the type of assets displayed. If no asset types are selected, all assets types will be included in the site map.
Added to: 3.9.0 development
The send email trigger action now has keywords for all asset types, not just users. Standard asset keywords can be used in the email body, subject and to fields. Eg. MySource Matrix Developer Newsletter - Issue #62, 03 May 2007, , , , etc.
Added to: 3.9.0 development
A new trigger action has been developed that allows you to clear the MySource Matrix cache for one or more assets when an event is fired. You may select to clear the cache for the asset that the event is fired on and/or any other assets in the tree. You can also select to clear the cache for these assets only, or their dependent assets or children. You can also select the types of assets you want the cache cleared for.
Added to: 3.9.0 development
The rolling calendar page can now display an arbitrary period relative to the current date (eg. from 3 days in the future to 7 days in the future), as well as filter out unwanted weekdays (eg. only show weekends).
To be added to : 3.9.0 development
Estimated start date: already in development
Estimated end date: 22nd February 2006
A new tool is being developed to import files into MySource Matrix and create a structured tree of standard pages. The tool first converts the file to HTML before creating a new page for each heading it finds. The contents of the section become the contents of the page and the heading levels define parent/child relationships (eg. a H3 heading is a child of a H2 heading).
The tool will initially support the importing of HTML files and Word Documents but can later be extended to other formats that can be converted to HTML, like PDF files.

Bug #1135 (Safe Edit root node on Asset Lists not working) was submitted by James Hunter but was postponed to 4.0 as this change would require linking to be added to the safe edit system and a major architectural change.
