New Features
Structured Asset Info Report
Added to: 3.9.0 development
This new core asset allows you to generate a summary report displaying the contents of standard asset fields for a tree of assets underneath a certain root node. The short name and status of each asset, along with the fields selected, are displayed. The assets selected can also be limited by type code.
Duplicate Metadata Field Name Warning
Added to: 3.9.0 development
A new feature has been added to the Metadata screen of an asset, that generates a warning message when more than one metadata schema is applied to an asset, and the effect of having them applied results in more than one metadata field of a certain name being applied. This situation is not recommended and the behaviour is undefined, so a warning will now alert you to the fact.
Remote Content Filtering Improvements
Added to: 3.8.3 stable, 3.9.0 development
If you have a Remote Content Page configured to filter remote content by a set of start and end tags, you can now specify what the page should do if those tags are not found within the remote content page. You can either display the whole remote content page (the default and the original behaviour) or display nothing.

Notes:
Bug #1366 (Error in special character handling in asset status report) was submitted by NevoT but was marked as a duplicate of bug #1343 (Report Asset Statuses doesn't escape special characters when creating xml), which has been fixed in the version 3.6 branch (the only affected version). The bug has been closed.
Bug #1367 (Wysiwyg content can break the whole page) was submitted by wombat but was marked as not being a bug as Javascript is stripped out of a WYSIWYG content type. It is recommended to use the Raw HTML content type instead.
