There is no general MySource Matrix developer news this week.
New Features
Cacheable Headers for "404" Reponses
Added to: 3.15.0 development
This new System Configuration setting allows pages returning a Not Found (404) response to be cached by a caching proxy server. This option is separate from the general "Send Cacheable Headers" setting. The length of time Matrix advises the header should be cached for is determined by the cache expiry setting in the Cache Manager asset. Please note that it depends on the cache used as to whether the cache request is accepted or ignored (tested with Squid).
Set Index Page for Site Trigger Action
Added to: 3.15.0 development
This trigger action, when fired on a Site asset, will set the index page for that site to the specified asset.
Purge Trash Script
Added to: 3.15.0 development
This new script allows the trash to be purged from the command line. The script requires the password for the Matrix system's root user to run.

Notes:
Bug #2366 (print="no" not working with asset_lineage) was reported by nnhubbard but was marked as Not a Bug. The report related to an attempt to use a Show If design area to hide a breadcrumb (implemented as an Asset Lineage design area) if a user is in Simple Edit mode. However, the Asset Lineage area was printed later on in the parse file instead of the Show If, meaning the Breadcrumb was always printed.
Bug #2370 (Duplicate form errors for linked custom form fields/sections) was reported by KateN in version 3.8.9. This bug will not be fixed in this version, as it is no longer supported. However, it should be checked in currently supported versions.
Feature Request #2373 (Preview as public user feature request) was submitted by Micky Gough but was marked as a duplicate, being a subset of feature request #2362 (Preview as specific user) submitted by Avi this week. The duplicate has been closed.
