A reminder that the inaugural MySource Matrix International User Conference is now only seven weeks away! The event, to be held on 13th and 14th September at the Radisson Resort on the Gold Coast, provides an excellent opportunity to maximise your investment in the MySource Matrix CMS. The two day program will include a number of keynote speeches and case studies, from industry leaders and current users of MySource Matrix, in the areas of content management and web technology. Plus, you will be a part of the first public preview of the eagerly anticipated MySource 4.0. For further information on the MySource Matrix International User Conference, including the current agenda and details on how to register for the event, please visit the News section on the Squiz.net web site (http://www.squiz.net/news/mysource-matrix-user-conference), or phone Squiz.net on +61 2 8507 9900.
There is no general MySource Matrix developer news this week.
If you have updated your Dev system since Wednesday, you may have noticed some changes in font sizes in a few places. This is part of an effort to move the the administration interface (not simple edit) to use relative sizes, rather than absolute sizes which can't be resized by Internet Explorer (and IE6 in particular). The main goal is to have everything look as it was before (and is in 3.14.x), based on a base size of 16 pixels (the default for IE, Firefox and Safari) but using relative sizes. Most of it is there at the moment, however there are some discrepancies (such as in content editing) that will be ironed out soon, and definitely before the 3.16 RC.
Last Monday saw the release of two new point releases of MySource Matrix (3.12.6 and 3.14.2). Both are predominantly bug-fix versions, with a couple of small changes and new features. For a full list of changes for each new release, view the Changelogs online at the MySource Matrix web site (http://matrix.squiz.net/developer/changelogs).
