MySource Matrix Developer Newsletter - Issue #120
The candidate release of the future stable branch of MySource Matrix, version 3.14.0 RC1, will be released this coming Monday, 2nd April 2007. This new release will contain around 70 new features and additions, including a large upgrade to the Ecommerce Form, new assets such as Online Quiz, Comment and a number of new trigger actions, along with a number of other improvements. Note that as usual, no support is provided for upgrading systems to the 3.14 release candidate. An upgrade guide will be developed and provided in time for the 3.14.0 stable release, currently scheduled for 7th May. Any new development following this release will be placed in the new 3.15.0 development version, which is currently due to evolve into a 3.16 release candidate in August 2007.

Major changes have been made to the Ecommerce Form (form_ecommerce) asset in the development version. Those systems using Ecommerce Form assets MUST be reviewed in order. In particular, one will need to set up the new Receipt bodycopy (inside the " Ecommerce Form Contents" asset) as " out of the box" receipt generation is no longer supported. The changes made to the Ecommerce Form are summarised in the " New Features" section.

There was a further change to the upgrade_data_dirs.php script in 3.12 and development versions. There was an issue where lookup records were being changed based on a partial match of the asset ID, resulting in an incorrect hash; for instance, when trying to change the hash for asset ID 123, it would change the hash for asset ID 12345 to the same (and in this case, incorrect) value.If you are experiencing these problems - particularly for upgraded systems from 3.10 to later versions - then re-run the upgrade_data_dirs.php script with the "--fix-lookups" option. For further information on other switches, run the script without any parameters for the usage statement.

Two new point releases of MySource Matrix were released last Monday. Both are bug-fix releases only, with version 3.12.2 fixing 26 bugs and 3.10.7 fixing fourteen.There is an upgrade guide for these versions, which should be run if yoursystem uses rollback - there are new indexes to add to improve performance - or your system is affected by bug #2092 (" keyword doesn't work when set to "Never" display").The next releases, 3.10.8 and 3.12.3, will be released on Monday, 2nd April 2007. It is expected at this time that the next branch of MySource Matrix will commence with the release of version 3.14.0 RC1.
MySource Matrix Developer Newsletter - Issue #116
Two new point releases of MySource Matrix are currently scheduled for release at about lunchtime on Monday, 5th March 2007. Version 3.12.2 and 3.10.7 currently contain fixes to about 28 and 15 reported bugs. These releases are bug-fix releases only and no features are planned for them.
