Releases Next Week

Two stable releases of MySource Matrix will be released next Monday (3rd December). Version 3.14.7 and 3.16.3 will be predominantly bug fix releases.

New Features

Import Script Improvements

Added to: 3.17.0 development

The following updates were made to the import scripts collection (located in the scripts/import directory):

- The main import_files.php script will now create Excel, PowerPoint, Rich Text and Text file assets based on file extension.

- A new script (import_folder_structure.php) allows you to import a flat structure of existing directories into your MySource Matrix system. Each directory becomes a Folder asset with the same name, underneath the specified root node. This script also allows you to rename the directories on the filesystem to the resultant asset IDs, so the import_files.php script can be used immediately following.

- A new script (import_asset_csv_to_matrix.php) which converts information from three CSV files into assets of a single type. One file provides attribute and metadata values, and the other two files provide a mapping between field names located in the CSV file, and attribute and metadata values. The comments provided in the import script provide a better explanation of how this script works, as it is quite powerful and complex.
