Yes, I Know It's Thursday
Obviously, something must be up if it's Thursday and you're receiving a Matrix developer newsletter. It's a public holiday in Sydney tomorrow, owing to provisions made for the APEC leaders' conferences occurring in Sydney this weekend. So you get your newsletter a day early this week. Normal service will resume Friday next week.
Three New MySource Matrix Releases
This past Monday saw the release of three new versions of MySource Matrix. The 3.16.x branch went gold with the release of MySource Matrix 3.16.0, the first supported version of the branch. The 3.16.x series introduces about 50 new features and improvements.
The 3.14.x branch continues with the release of MySource Matrix 3.14.4. This is predominantly a bug-fix release, as the release of MySource Matrix 3.12.8. This is the final supported release of the 3.12.x branch, and only critical fixes will be considered for this branch from this point forward. You are strongly recommended to upgrade to the 3.14.x or 3.16.x branches.

The changelogs for these versions are available from the MySource Matrix web site. Last month's changelogs have now also been added, including the list of new features between versions 3.14 and 3.16.
One Week Until Matrix User Conference
By this time next week, the inaugural MySource Matrix International User Conference will have been well underway, up in the (hopefully) sun-bathed Gold Coast. Indeed, one week from time this newsletter is sent, Squiz will be presenting the first public preview of the next generation of the MySource CMS, MySource 4.
That's not all this conference has to offer, though. The two-day event includes keynote and case study presentations on how MySource Matrix can potentially be used to your business advantage, as well as on hot content management and Web topics such as web site accessibility, standards and more.
Unfortunately, by the time the next newsletter is sent, it will be all but over. But it's not too late to book your place! Registrations close at 5pm (AEST) on Wednesday 12th September (the day before the conference begins).

Notes:
Bug #2616 ("Email Notification trigger fails with multiple TO fields", reported by Jerome Bonnet on 5th September) was reported in an early 3.12.x version. The 3.12.x branch is no longer supported, and will be looked into in currently supported branches (3.14.x and up) only.
