The Matrix Newsletter has been issued one day early this week in lieu of the ANZAC Day public holiday tomorrow.
New Features
E-Commerce Checkout: 'Region-Specific Options' screen
Added to: 3.19.0 development, 3.18.1 stable, 3.16.8 stable
A "Region-Specific Options" screen is now available from the E-Commerce Checkout asset. This screen can be used to apply extra charges based on the country of delivery.
A "Country" form question can asset can be assigned from the E-Commerce Checkout asset. This question is initially configured in the associated Delivery Method asset and is be used to determine the customer's country of delivery.
A list of countries can be specified to include a tax charge upon checkout for each product in the cart that has the "Calculate Tax During Checkout" option enabled. Any country that is not in this list will not attract tax on these items.
E-Commerce Checkout: Renaming of asset screen and attribute

The "Display Extra Options" screen has been renamed to "Taxation and Flat Fees".
The "Includes Tax" attribute shown on the Details screen of the Product asset has been renamed to "Product Price Already Includes Tax".
E-Commerce Product: New Attribute 'Calculate Tax During Checkout'

Products now can be configured to include tax upon checkout. This is configured by enabling the "Calculate Tax During Checkout" attribute for each applicable product.
E-Commerce Cart: Receipt Formatting Updated

The receipt format has been expanded to display price before tax and tax included at checkout. Individual product prices can be controlled by configuring the "Product Price Already Includes Tax" and "Calculate Tax During Checkout" attributes.
