Introduction
Invision Power Board (IPB) is a commercial, 3rd-party discussion forum system. The IPB Bridge for MySource Matrix allows you to connect your MySource Matrix system to an existing IPB system on the same server.
The bridge exposes IPB users, groups, forums, topics, posts and polls as shadow assets in the MySource Matrix system. You can then use Asset Listings to list these shadow assets, allowing for tight integration between the two systems.
Additionally, the IPB Bridge includes an Authentication system for MySource Matrix that allows users who register on the IPB system to be grant permission to the MySource Matrix system as well. They can also login to both systems using the same username and password combination.
Note: The IPB Bridge requires a licensed copy of Invision Power Board, which is not included in the cost of the SSV module package. A perpetually licensed copy of IPB costs USD $149.99.
