If you set the Status of the user account to Up For Review, Squiz Matrix will force the user to change their password next time they log into the system.

Tip: You can create a Trigger to automatically set the Status of a user account to Up for Review a specified period of time after it has been made Live. For more information on how to do this, refer to the Triggers manual.

When they log into either the Simple Edit or Administration Interface, the Change Password pop-up will appear, as shown in the figure below.

To change their password they must enter their current password into the Current Password field and their new password into the New Password field. They then need to confirm their password in the Confirm New Password field. If there are any password rules that need to be followed they will appear above the password entry fields. For example, in the figure shown above, the rule Password must be at least 6 characters long appears on the screen. Once they have entered in their new password, they click on the Update Password button. The Status of the user account will then be changed to Live.
